About Dr. Qureshi
Dr. Qureshi is double board certified and a Diplomate in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism
He was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Sugar Land. He attended the University of Houston where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Biology. He went on to attain his doctorate of medicine (M.D.) degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal medicine at Texas Tech. During residency, Dr. Qureshi received numerous awards including resident of the year and resident teaching awards and was called upon to serve as Chief Resident during his final year of residency.
He returned to his hometown of Houston where completed his fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at the renowned Houston Methodist Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College in the Texas Medical Center, ranked among the Top 10 programs by the U.S News and World Report. He also trained at Texas Children's Hospital as well as UT MD Anderson Cancer Center during his fellowship.
He loves to travel with his wife and go running during his spare time.
Specialities and Interests
Dr. Qureshi has speciality training in general Endocrinology from Houston Methodist/Weill Cornell medicine as well as MD Anderson cancer center. He sees patients for Diabetes Mellitus (Type 1 and 2), all thyroid diseases including Grave's disease, Hashimoto's diseases and thyroid cancer, Hypogonadism, PCOS, Osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases, parathyroid diseases, pituitary diseases, and adrenal diseases including Cushing's and Adrenal insufficiency.

Dr. Qureshi is currently an active member of the Endocrine Society as well as the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He stays up to date with current research and guidelines and is dedicated to providing evidenced based care backed by the most up to date research.
